The halfway house system that PNHS runs is in need of several things. The most important is simply man power. We need people who can set aside some room, away from other animals, and take in rescued animals. Even sparing enough room for one or two animals can aid the Halfway House team greatly. As a member of the Halfway House system, we can help provide caging and food for the animals under your care. We just need volunteers.
PNHS also gladly takes donations of cages, caging material, lamps, bulbs, and cash. If you would like to donate any of these items, please feel free to contact us.
Partnership
PNHS is eager to parner with other reptile rescue groups in the greater Puget Sound area. We can provide
you with a common web interface to help track your animals, and display those animals on our website. If
you have interest in partnering with PNHS please contact us and let us know.
PNHS would like to explore the possibility of placing adoption animals with educational facilities for temporary ownership. We would like to place the animal in class rooms where the animal can be watched and handled by the teacher and students. PNHS would aid in providing health checks for the animal, and care in case of sickness. We would also offer care and feeding lessons for you and your students. This aides PNHS by taking some of our animals in the Halfway House system and placing them in temporary homes. The temporary periods could be from just a few weeks, to a full school year. PNHS would take the animal back during breaks and vacations. Contact us if you think you have interest in this sort of program.
