Placing an animal into adoption
PNHS prides itself on our adoption and rescue program. Animals brought into our rescue program are cared for like any other pet by it's halfway-houser, and is brought back to health as the need may be.

If you have decided that you need to place an animal with PNHS, then you must fill out the questions below. This will help give us an idea of what to expect with your animal. Please make sure to be as detailed as possible. Once you have submitted this form, you will be contact by a member of the halfway house committee to finish the process.

What can I expect and how do I know you will take care of my animal?
Once you have completed the form below, a halfway-house member will contact you to discuss any question he/she may have regarding the animal. They will then arrange for a pickup of the animal. That may mean we come to your residence, or you meet us at one of our monthly meetings, or perhaps something in between. After your animal is in PNHS care it is evaluated for health. After a quarantine period (30 to 60 days) the animal will then be made available for adoption. Once the animal is adopted, it remains the property of PNHS for a year. During this time PNHS tries to do periodic inspections of the animal and habitat to make sure it is staying healthy. If ever we decide that the animal is not in an optimum situation, the animal is taken back into PNHS custody and recuperated.

At all times PNHS has the health and wellfare of the animal as it's top priority.
