Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is used. This privacy policy applies to all Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society (PNWHS) websites and to print media where you may have signed up for more information about PNWHS.

PNWHS collects information about you for the sole purpose of contacting you. On the various PNWHS websites, contact forms are provided for you to make contact with members of the society. Each of these contact forms stores your personal information for only as long as it takes to verify that you are a legitimate person. This helps PNWHS avoid excess false contacts through the website. Print media, where persons interested in PNWHS can provide their personal contact information, is maintained only for so long as the party is interested in recieving information about PNWHS.

Any personal information that is collected about you is NOT disclosed to any party outside PNWHS members whose role is to contact you. No personally identifiable information is sold, traded, given, or in any way provided to anyone outside of the PNWHS organization. All personally identifiable information that we collect is destroyed (in the case of print media) or deleted (in the case of electronic information) after it's need has expired.

Personally identifiable information that is collected by PNWHS is kept in such a way that only specific members have access to it, if any access to it is needed. The PNWHS Board oversees who has access to the information. This includes membership information, website contact information, and request for information contacts in print media.

At any time your personally identifiable information (if such exists) is viewable by contacting the PNWHS Board. A board member will help arrange a time in which the information may be viewed. At that time if you desire to have any personal information removed, or altered PNWHS will gladly comply.
